General How to lock without battery?

Hi,

I am planning to disconnect the battery since i dont use the car very much. Unfortunately, i have noticed that i am unable to lock the car from outside with the battery disconnected.

Seems silly, but surely there must be some other way to lock the car without a battery. Any ideas?

you have a drivers door keylock,no?

It's on the rear of each door next to the latch. Look at the open driver's door around the latch. You will see that there are only three fixings. The fourth is the lock. To lock it, put the ignition key in, turn it clockwise until it clicks then shut the door.
I could be wrong but I think you will need to connect the battery to lock the boot.

I think the driver door ( and maybe passenger door) unlocks with the key even if the battery is disconnected.

1. Open the bonnet.
2. Lock the car
3. Disconnect the battery
4. Close the bonnet.

If you need to open the driver's door then use the key in the lock.
