Technical How to get more power from my seicento 1.1 sporting abarth 2001

Hello,

Does somebody know's to get more power from my fiat seicento 2001 sporting abarth.

A turbo cost too much but i think there are other way's to get more power does somebody knows how?

fit a punto60 bottom end, use the Sei head, fuel injection, waterpump and cambelt pulley.

fit a decent exhaust, full system, but backbox is important.

fit a decent induction kit, can't help there - dont know what fits. I think u can bodge one up from Focus parts.

remap it.

Also, fit lowering springs and shortened shocks and at the very least fit red dot 6 groove discs and fast road pads, ideally fit later style Punto GT calipers with red dot 6 groove discs and fast road pads.

Suspect we may have a language issue here. What's your first language, bouke?

By bottom end, we mean complete engine apart from cylinder head. So, essentially what you'd be doing is taking a punto 60 engine, removing the SPI cylinder head, and placing the cylinder head from your MPI engine on it.

Advantages as stated, but the increase in torque is well worth having (transforms the car) and you can always pop the camshaft from a Punto 75 in (unless you're lucky enough to find a Punto 60 with a Punto 75 cam) later for a bit more go.

sell it and buy a turbo'd car as a good starting point... easy to gain power then

Put a 1.2/1.4 16v From GP/Stilo or similiar, have a good remapping session and you will be surprised.

It will not only cost less than a turbo to install/build but also to maintain - ie. maintaining wider service intervals.
