Technical how to fix handbrake leaver hat wont stay down

My handbrake leaver will not stay down when it is released and the warning
bleep comes on . How do I adjust it to stay down when its off.?

Mine has always done it, but the beeper is still happy so I ignore it.

The issue is probably hand brake cables. I don't know if disc brake types have the same cables as drum brake types so check first.

The adjuster is under the floor bin which can be a nuciance to remove.
