Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much my car is worth?

It's a P reg 1.8 HLX in metallic blue, covered 101000 miles, full service history, 11 months MOT, brand new Avon tyres, bodywork is in very good condition, cambelt not due for another 40000 miles.

Cheers!

id say bout 2 in my opinion....i paid 4k for mine n its a y reg.....but unfortunatly a car is only worth wot some1 will pay for it!

2? as in 2k?

I just bought a 51 plate 1.2 16V with 60k miles on for 2k, so how can a P reg HLX with double the miles on it be worth 2k?

Try £850 like the original guy said.

Fiat Bravo
1.8 HLX 3d 1996/P
Insurance Group 8
Average mileage: 80,000 miles
Cost New ('96) £ 12955

Franchised Dealer £ 1655

Independent Dealer £ 1480

Private Good £ 1350

Private Poor £ 590

Part Exchange £ 980

Thats what parkers say.... its 20k above average... so you'll be looking around £1k private sale.

As a guide, I got £995 for a 96N HLX with 90100 miles on it. I had it advertised at £1250 but ths price seemed to put people off calling. Those that came to see it at £995 though said that they would have paid £1200 once they saw how good it was. Gutted!

I got £1500 for my S reg (98) black HLX with about 74,000 miles

it also realy depends on were you you live scotland is a lot cheaper than here in suffolk.
example my sister inlaw looked everywere round here for a vw polo on a x-y reg they were £6500 round here she ended up flying to glasgow and buying one in mint cond. with 30k on the clock for £4500 and 2 quid of diesel to bring it back !!!!.
also theres a p reg 1.4 sx bravo round the corner from me with 84k up for £1600!! and i think its been sold as it had gone an hour ago

folk in Scotland tend to drive newer cars than folk in england. not sure why... maybe we like finance and debt more up here! lol

If you advertise at a high price people just won't come to see it and if they do they try to knock you down anyway. In the meantime you're spending loads on advertising a car which is dropping in value. I've found the easiest way to sell a car is to ask a lower price than most but don't get haggled down. Explain that it's offered at a fair price and just give them a bit off so that they think they got something out of you.
