how low can i go

i have just put 7"x17" wheels on my bravo with 205/40/17 tyres. what is the best amount to lower it and still keep a good ride.

Hi mate,

I just put the same wheels on. Im just having the same thoughts. After chatting to si, rob.d etc... im going for 40mm. Rob.d says his is fine with 3 people in the back and full ICE. The standard abarth/fiat ones don't drop the car enough cos they are 30mm and 20mm.

Novitec do a 55 and 70mm lowering kit if you want to go even lower.

If it wasnt for how low my defuser sits at the back I would have def gone for 55 lowering springs. Theres enough room for 17" and a 55 drop you'd just have to go for a lower profile tyre. My current tyre profile is 205/40 17.
