Hello Forum,
I've had to drive my lovely 'all weather' B to work, and and after a comfortable 'autobahn' drive I'm getting stuck in traffic jams 'MILES LONG!, my B hates this stop and go. The clutch pedal is pretty stiff and I'm sort of double clutching to get her to pull away without bunny jumping. I can't seem to get her to drive at a sloooooow speed. Sometimes the motor just wants to die if you don't hit the clutch quick enough.
Am I experiencing a 'typical' Barchetta or do I need some tuning work done?
Cheers Stuart
ps my left calf muscle is getting one hell of a cramp as I write this ;)

well the B clutch is a litle hard , it's a pure mecanicall one no hydraulic like now all the others are !!
so it's a reall men car :D

I don't have a problem with a stiff clutch but my car has had a problem

started last year with jerkiness in slow queues and occasional stalling.

I asked garage to look at it and they found the big inlet hose had a huge

split, they replaced and did some other adjustments but I can't afford to shell

out for hours of diagnosis for it.

I haven't been using it nearly as much recently and haven't got stuck in a big

jam, So I don't know if it's completely cured or not.

It stalled on Antwerp ring road in October, in the dark.....

Cheers Barchetta Bloke, I'll have a poke around the pipes! I'm dreading stalling her as the key isn't always getting recognised!!! Adrenaline pure driving a Barchetta :)

Not found the clutch especially stiff. Not like the 75 Porsche 911 I once drove- that needed 2 feet to push down the clutch!

My clutch is pretty smooth but I find that if I'm being too gentle i.e. in a traffic queue and the revs dip, the engine does threaten to stall. I assume the engine management is a bit crude compared to modern cars. My 1Lt petrol Corsa will happily pull in a traffic queue with no throttle at all. Is this down to anti-stall?
