General How do you remove the aerial?

I washed my Multipla today but I couldn't do the roof so it's off to the car wash from now on!

I've read stories on here about the aerials breaking off in car washes so how do you remove it? It looks as though it just unscrews but mine doesn't so either it doesn't unscrew or it needs some WD40.

it does unscrew but will probably be stuck! Pliers , gently, will free it and then some coppaslip on threads to keep it free.

Hand wash every time!!!
Just open rear doors step up and you can wash one side of roof ,repeat for other side
You dont get wet as roof is concave all water runs off front & back.

Handwashing is best way to keep tabs on whats happening with your pride & joy.

soft brush on a pole ,works for me.

I'm too lazy to wash the car. It's not just washing you have to dry it then polish it, I also hate it when you wash the car in the summertime and all the soap dries before you've had a chance to rinse it off. :bang:

With my local car wash it's just £2.70 for a wash (including alloys), wax and dry.
