I really must start taking a mobile camera shot of every VW I see stranded, and there are plenty!

Have to be honest, I dont see many FIATS stopped dead and I am lookin believe me!

I'm proud to drive a Fiat as if I get slagged I either ignore it or can always come up with a few faults that go wrong with their cars. Then hit them with the recent success of Fiat (while most are struggling) which confuses them then finish with a technical question that leaves them walking away scratching their head;)

lol Ffoxy, I can take it  (y)

I try not to say fiat beacuse of the reaction.

Heres a funny story:
In the office last week, a bloke asked me what I drove and I said a fiat grande punto, to which he replied "haha have you got a big exhaust and a bodykit blah blah" That night we were out in derby town for a night out and I gave three blokes a lift up there. All their reactions were 'wow thats a nice motor'' 'I really like this' 'it f*ckin shifts don't it?'

Just proves how fiat have come along from the stereotypical view. I just say a grande punto and if they know anything about cars and they see it they will know it's a nice. I don't need to prove myself to company car drivers

Since Fiat are still making the "original" Punto, people get confused if you don`t say Grande Punto. Grande means large in Italian, and it`s a lot bigger (and better)than the other Punto! If you are ashamed of driving a Fiat, then don`t buy one in the first place. I`ve always found them to be, ahem...grand cars boom, boom. And I`ve had a lot of different Fiats. They seem to suit people who don`t mind lifting the bonnet now and then and drive with a bit of mechanical sympathy.
Saw the new Brava today-very smart.

Ya gotta larf incha!

Friday nite and I'm in. BUT!
I just had all my wheels off, picked all the sharp pebbles outa my treads, cleaned the inside (backs?) of my alloys, jetwashed under the arches and re-fitted.

Good evenings graft lmao!

Thought you had a ford or vauxhall?

Idea!!! actually I really like them & waiting for price to drop bit more before I get one;)

Vauxhall:yuck: nah fiat & ford but my cars change on a very regular basis but most of the time I got customers cars:)

Idea, nice car, layed out well, drive round a corner and not so good. imho anyhow. Anyhow i told people i had a 'Grande Punto' when i was on holiday and as you say most peeps dont know what the hell that is, although if you said you had a focus some still may not be any the wiser, just point and say 'that silver one'

Me: I drive a Punto.
Someone else: A what?
Me: I drive a Fiat.
Someone else: A what?
Me: Don't worry bout it (walks away).

Quite funny that Kev(y)
