Technical how do i test relays?

When I connect power to pins 1 and 2 the relay clicks, I can hear it and I feel it in the relay.

How do I test the other part is functioning?

If it is clicking when you engergise the coil then it is probably working. You can put a metre set to resistance between the two contacts when the coil is engergised and see if there is a circuit or not.

Your drawing is too small to read I'm afraid.

If you put a feed through the coil to earth, so one side feed, other side earth, the relay should click. A feed to one of the other connectors while the coil is energised should produce power at the last connector.

put 12v through the "spring" at the bottom of the drawing (positive on one side, negative on the other). on a car relay the pins will be numbered "85" and "86".

Looking at your drawing:
when the relay is not energised, you should have continuity between 3 and 4. No continuity between 3 and 5.
when you energise the relay (12v feed to 1 and earth to 2), it should click and you should have continuity between 3 and 5. This time, no continuity between 3 and 4.
Also make sure you never have continuity between 4 and 5.
Basically, you are flicking a switch that goes from 3 to either 4 or 5, by energising or not 1 and 2.
