Yesterday I was driving down a narrow-ish road (enough room for two way traffic unless people park on the one side). I was driving on the opposite side of the road (as cars were parked on my side) and had travelled about 30meters when some old lady came around the corner and wasn't bothering to stop to give way, I had to pull over to the right side sooner than I had wished and in doing so brushed the passenger side of my car with a nice big yellow skip, how would you guys go about sorting this cosmetically? I have no information on the other car other than that is was silver so insurance is out of the question.

Im guessing the best way to go about the handle is replacing it.

Unlucky. But the old lady had right of way, it was up to you to stop. Anyhow, if the car is in nice nick I'd take it to a couple of bodyshops & if you have a Dent-Master or similar nearby try them too. If you can feel the scratch with your nail it wont polish out sadly. Post a picture up & the bodywork guys can provide better advice.

She just came around the corner, I had been on the road for about 500metres, no worries Ill get over that part :).

The polish was just to get the colour of the skip off the car and to just clear up the white stripe that was added lol.

Thanks :)

A nice long gentle crease like that is very easy to get out using something like a dent dial and a line light provided you have already many hours of experience of removing dents ie don't jump in and try it yourself or you'll just make it harder to do the job properly.

But an experienced dent wizard would find that very easy without needing to do any respray apart from the door handle so it shouldn't dent your wallet too much

Usually grazing a skip will open the car up like a tin can

Thanks for the reply, looking at their website I don't see any listings for Wales, any idea of a company that would specialise in this area near Newport? :).
