how do i check if my earth is connected propeley?

how do i check if my earth wire is connected propely?
at the moment i have it connected to where the rear seat clicks in, anyone got any suggestions where theres are connected?
my amp isnt working at the moment

My earth is behind the rear light. Remove the plastic moulds in the back behind the light and you will see a huge nut. Thats where i've earthed my amp.

However make sure that your earth wire is earthed properly. I.e make sure theres no paint or grease on the nut etc. Scratch at the surface to get a better connection. Also check fuses on the amp, check the fuse near the battery. This should elimate any other possible reasons why your amp isn't working.

Is the amp getting 12v from the batter? Is it getting a remote signal from the HU?
