How did you find Fiatforum?

Searching for info on a 1974 124TC wagon. Just getting started on this one. Lots of work to do on this one. I'm the second owner, and just bumped into this site. I know it will come in handy.

i typed fiat forum and this came top of page and after a scroll through the others this was the best so here i am and very good informative site too xxx

google, looking for information about my fiat punto and got a link to this place.

I've scoured the internet for any sites or information about fiat, and regularly look to see if theres any merch i can find. plus i know someone who drives a punto, and once i bought my sei he gave me a link to this, so i figured i'd join!

Yet another Google search worked for me:)

Great Forum :worship:

Then why are you wasting your time here?

That seems a fairly pertinent question...

I was Googling furiously, looking for information about the Stilo as I'd been checking out a dealer's website and had been hanging my nose over a Toyota Avensis hatchback but spotted this rather cute wee car that really grabbed my attention.

Somewhere along the way I stumbled across this forum and found it pretty useful.

I found it utterly useless. Just gossip. Nothing of substance.
Malc:bang:
That's nice of you (n)

Just looked at your ONE and ONLY contribution so far to it, a thread in the newbie section:

https://www.fiatforum.com/newbie-central/106014-info-piston-please.html

BUT it is asking a question that is really in the wrong section - this may explain the lack of answers - so no need to go off on one now, is there. And to say there is nothing on substance on here, do you think you could maybe justify that comment? No, didn't think so.

Google. First of four sons just started to drive so bought the little cinq and need to find the size of the gearbox oil filler plug. Which I did - thankyou.

Haven't worked on an engine since the A-series. Looked under the bonnet to find lots of strange black plastic blobs. I might just be asking lots of questions here if the future!!

Welcome!

Now if you haven't worked on an engine since the A-series you may be unaware of a few changes.

Those "black blobs" are in fact dilithium crystals that control the conversion rate of the fuel. Of course, we don't use anything at crude as petroleum based products anymore, you now put Cold-pressed latinum into that place marked "Oil" in the engine bay.

All the other leads and connectors don't actually do anything, they are just there to confuse the average Joe and stop any type of DIY mechanics. You can remove them if you want. The master computer will compensate.

Of course if you don't watch Deep Space Nine or Star Trek you'll start to wish you hadn't posted that thread... Well I thought it vaguely amusing!

Incidentally good luck with teaching your son to drive. I taught my daughter last year and she passed first attempt. That wasn't down to my teaching, more the driving school that made her unlearn all the 'bad habits' I had passed on (like 'going through the gears' as you slow down - which I still do!). Only one prang so far (her, not me!).

Why did I start this? I haven't disconnected any of the black blobs yet! but son (who passed test 1st go a few months ago) took the cinq to college this morning and half way there either the clutch or gearbox let him down. Oh well I didn't have much to do this weekend!
