As some of you may know i own a 1.4sx bravo and on the registration forms i got with the car it says that it was registered in 1999 but i thought they stopped the 1.4's in 1998??. I've just done a vehicle check on the rac site and that says my car was manufactured in december 1999????
how can that be??

jim

RAC website shows you only the date of register not Manufacturer.

To find out the Manufacture Year, either give Fiat your chassis number or use an upto date Parts CD, or the online one on the Bravo-Guide.co.uk. Then put your chassis number in. It will then show all part numbers and info you require for your car including the Manufacture Date.

yeah, but the RAC check always says december. :D even though it says manufacture

pas de panic!

My T plate '99 Bravo is a mish mash of mk 1 and mk 2 parts/spec.
They probably whipped your engine back off the milk float and slapped it in your chassis on its way out of the factory. :) Grande FIAT Bravo Latte

i know it says december 1999 but it still means that my car was made in 1999 although they stopped the 1.4's in 1998?

no, it means they released it to a dealership in 99. It might have been sitting in a container for a couple of months, or on a transport ship...
