Technical hot radio/cd player

Hi, my 2007 X250 has the integrated radio and cd player installed but it seems to get very hot. In Spain this year the unit became so hot that the cd player would not play or even eject the Cd- has anyone else had this problem?

They all get quite hot in operation, but shouldn't stop it working.
I take all was fine once it had cooled down again?

yes, it did work ok when it cooled down its just annoying, especially when we were touring Spain earlier this year when it was extremely hot.

hi i seem to be having same problem so last year i change it for a new digital one from pure it worked fine for one day then the signal kept dropping in and out so took it back then exchange it for a pioneer then the same thing happened so i took it out after arriving at work about thirty mile drive only to find it was to hot to touch around the rear of radio so can any one help as im sure this cannot be normal.
