After a week of having a Multipla i am very pleased apart from a small irritating issues.

In short the CD player packed up so i took it back. Having not heard from the dealer i phoned this morning as i was passing, i live an 1 1/2 hours away.

Having heard nothing i stupidly thought the unit wasn't fixed, so popped in and picked up my paperwork. I then travelled home another 1 1/2 hours, to be told it had come back this morning(when i phoned) and was ready for collection!!!!!!

So tommorow morning i have to do a 3 hour round trip to pick up my CD player that was ready when i passed today. Another issue is that the wipers don't operate when i spray washer fluid on it, fairly trivial but after 4 phone calls nothing from Fiat. No details of the issue taken, my phone number nothing.

I asked this evening what DPF stands for above the CD player and the folks at Fiat didn't know!!!! Please what does DPF stand for and what does it do?

I also asked if the Multipla was Ipod compatible. I guess you know whats coming so if anyone else knows the answer i'd appreciate it.

Really miffed off after a promising start. If i did my job just a fraction this inept i wouldn't even wait to be pushed.

Regards Tonker

First the wipers dont wipe when you spray water...........

secondly dont repeat yor post 3 times as it puts people off & that you are just moaning........cant help you with the other things as I work in a dealer :D

I couldn't find the delete post section in edit.

You can't tell me what DPF stands for because you work in a dealer!!!!

And i am moaning about the usual rubbish service the motor industry turns out time and time again.

T was being sarcastic!
DPF is a system for cleaning up the emissions, it also means that servicing is a little more complicated as the oil does not need changing at service time but is independantly changed depending on the engine management ecu's monitoring of engine driving conditions etc. Also you will need to have the servicing done at a dealer as well as the oil change as both require the servicing data to be reset using the fiat examiner.

(another useless sod that works in a dealer)
TAR - BRUSH - SARCASM, every little helps.

Thank you

I managed to speak to a mechanic who gave me all the information i needed in 1 minute the dealer couldn't in countless phone calls and visits.

I finally got my CD player back and installed..............but without my cd that was in it!!!!!!(n)

Can't remeber but it probably had the track "Things can only get better";)
