HLX Vs VXR

En route home tonight a silver VXR Astra pulled out on me!! so naturally i flashed and called it all names under the sun!! we then reached a lovely quiet piece of road and he decided that he was fed up of having me behind him! He must have had his foot to the floor because he took off, just to see what my car could do i put my foot down to, and much to my surprise and his i caught up and managed to overtake him!!! wuld love to have seen his face when he saw a 1998 R reg go past his brand new 55 plate VXR!!! very impressed with the little bravo!! got a nice full tank as a thanks!!

u sure it was the vxr not the sri? the new sri's do look the same and they are only 1.8

no it was deff the vxr! its gt the lower back end!! have seen him before!! i wuld guess that i prob won the game of chicken!!! i know that if a good driver was drivin that thing i wuld o needed an ST to beat him!!

yea, because it was a VXR nt an SRI!! wuld have to admit that on this piece off road i probiably had the upper hand because i drive it about 4 times a day and i know it like the back of my hand!

they arnt all red, seen a blue one, dont know about silver.

i think this is possibly the most rediculious thread...the vxr has nearly twice the power and thats if you have a 1.8, there is not way any bravo other then turbojay or ribzzs would keep up...

i believe he his... and ribzz is running just over 400bhp but thats with 50 nos aswell and he wonders why he ripped his gearbox apart?lol..

Sorry I was wrong, he's running 400bhp at the flywheel (without NOS...straight from the horses mouth)
Amazing what a Cosworth Turbo and Aquamist Spray can do
