Hello, i've had 2 bravo's now and both snatch/catch when changing up/down in 3rd gear is this normal as it really pisses me off. I checked the guide and it says its common but it feels like it could damage the gearbox and is worse changing down rather than changing up. Anyone else out there have this problem? especially with HLX's

Mines a 1999 T, 115 HLX in Broom Yellow 63000 miles.

any ideas

Cheers

Hmm,

Maybe hijacking the thread but I have a similar problem when I go down to 2nd. there is a 'slight' grind of gears, a bit like when you select reverse, that slight crunch.

I have tried lifting the cluch and then depressing it again etc. The girlfriend says she never notices but then I am convinced that she can't drive anyway ;)

I am going to try changing the gearbox oil to see if that helps

Good plan

Tom,

Bless you!

If only for being up at this time of night :)

Hang on, Radiohead has just kicked in on my cordless headphones. Incomunicado, here I come:)

Sorry,

It just gets better, now it's 'The Wall' by Pink Floyd

Trust me, I love you all...

No Plant rock here.

Just have some real good mp3s going on.

Cordless headphones are sooo coooool!

I can listen to Pink Floyd whilst on the WC etc. How did I ever live without them?

Cool Tom,

Life is beautiful, reality is shite

Admittedly, the vodka is making it harder to type :)

'The Wall' by Pink Floyd has always been an 'all or nothing' album for me. Start at the beginning and go through to the end. There is no other way to listen to it as far as I know. :)

Tell you, I love the world, the mood I am in :)

Missus is gonna kill me though...

When saying snatching i mean like when you select reverse and there a little clunk/grind.
