500 high pitched whistling noise

Hi, I'm new to this forum. Just wondering if anyone has any idea why my Fiat 500 has started making a very high-pitched whistling noise - more noticeable when driving faster.

does it do it while stationary..??

is it petrol or diesel..? - more things on a diesel that can whistle
