Has anyone changed to a high performance camshaft?

For example, Colombo & Bariani.

If there was a person who exchanged,
Please tell me about the effect and supplier information.

Just a word of warning / advice which you should follow up on.

Performance cam shafts (as you know) have higher degrees of lift, different opening and closing angles, steeper rates and different inlet to exhaust overlap durations.

The Barchetta has variable inlet cam timing that Fiat have optimised for the stock cam shafts. There may possibly be big issues with putting alternative cams in *if* they have not also been specifically designed for the Barchetta's variable timing. It could also be that alternate performance cams require the variator to be removed in which case the inlet cam will be designed to directly take the inlet camshaft sprocket wheel.

If you already know all of this then fine and others who didn't can benefit.

Also I read somewhere (sorry can't recall or give pointers) that tuning a Barchetta engine for extra performance is not that easy/responsive to changes being made. Gains available are at the lower end of the scale.
