Technical High Mileage

The misses and i are looking to get a multipla, ideally a diesel as she does odd journeys and i do longer ones with the bike in the back so want a bit more economy. Our budget is ideally under £4000.

Most we have looked at seem to be quite high milage, 90,000 plus but seem to have a history and a belt change etc. Are they still good after doing 100,000 miles and what will they carry onto as I think a low milage one in our budget will be like finding a needle in a haystack!

A friend at work has a 1 owner, silver, 50000 mile diesel for sale. He has just got a new job and a co car.
Its a w-plate.

Unfortunately for you guys its in Doncaster but he wants £3500 for it.

I bought mine, a JTD 105-2000 with 130bhp tuning, at 68000 miles/110000km and i've had it for 3,5 years (atm 155000 miles/250000km) now without any big problems. I drive app. 25000 miles a year.

The following bigger items are replaced:

The clutch is changed twice, at 75000 and 149000 miles.
Both rear wheel bearings kits (left 75000 and right 100000)
Rear Swing arms are changed at 120000
and the front suspension and springs at 100000
generator at 149000
