Technical Engine oil level way high

I checked my levels with engine hot yesterday and my oil was a lot above the max mark and randomly so was my coolant level.

I haven't topped up for a good while and it's just recently started leaking oil, again, which is why o checked a d was very surprised not to find it low... (think it's the fourth oil leak (all from different places) this car has had in my two years owning it... ! )

It's over due a service, could that be a reason in itself for the high levels? Or what should I look out for? Both the coolant and oil look normal.

If something's gonna go wrong this is the perfect time, lol, as there's two months til MOT time

check it when it's cold , the water level will be slightly higher when the engine is hot and whenever i've checked the oil in a warm engine (car and bike) it always shows to be slightly higher on the dipstick but not an excessive amount and when it's cooled down it's back to normal and what colour is the oil? as long as it doesn't look like a milky grey colour i doubt if any water is getting to mix with the oil , is it indicating a normal temp on the guage?

pull the stick out and leave it for 1/2 hour then check it. On mine the dip stick seems to hold the oil up the tube but if I remove and leave for 1/2 hour the oil level reads correct
