High milage JTD

There is a very high milage jtd on auto trader, it has 113000 on the clock.
Yet due to the colour i am tempted!!
I shouldnt even consider it at all, should I?

The seller wants 2750 for it. im not goona offer anything near that, if im silly enough to buy the thing, How much would i end up spending on it in costs? (new parts etc)

Spose i would want to get it tuned also so thats new engine new clutch..etc Im aswering my own question, but i shouldnt bother should I..

Sounds right, the engine has just been run in nicely, what year is it? I would give them £2k for those miles though.

There is a red jtd for £3000 with only 51k on the clock .. but i like the orange one...hummmmm respray sound cheaper

He's prob bumped the price up as he's got alloys, possibly a boy racer car but, the person may not be. Best go and have a test drive, make sure it'll red line as mine wouldn't and it was the MAF sensor which costs £170 from Fiat. But after fixing it it flys. Not litteraly.

Also have a good look around the car, will possibly have afew stone chips on it. Don't let high miles put you off though as diesels will last for AGES!!!!!

113,000 for a diesel engine isn't particularly high. as the comment said it's just run in. if it's been properly serviced then this shouldn't be a problem. 113,000 on a petrol engine, that's another story completely. the engine may just be about ready for the crusher.

My 1999 1.2 now has 116k on it and still running nicely! The JTD will last forever as long as its been serviced

I looked at a td75 same block as jtd, it had 170 thousand on it, cylinder head was completly knaked.(alloy kindo crap just melted with no water in it, hole in the radiator)

Can just say, had a drive in a JTD Ducato a few days ago whit 420 000 km on the clock. It ran like on the 1 day, it was serviced on regular basis and only the clutch vent 2 times.

If Im not mistaking, either a 2.4 or 2.8, not sure cos. I dont drive it regular. Mate gave me a spin, cos. he had some brakes prob.
