HID kits what colour code am i after

im looking to get a hid conversion kit for my next investment for my car. im looking at getting purple 12000 15000 k. well thats my second option. the ones i realy want i cant seem to find as a listing on ebay. or maybe they all have the effect i dont know. but im after the multi colour ones that change colour at different angles. for example when a chrysler 300c drives behind you the headlights are bright and white. but any lil bump in the road they look purple, yellow, blue etc. iv seen some do this effect better than others.
so does anyone know the kelvin colour rate for this type of light?
if i cant find out im just going to go for purple.....

its not blue im after. the ones im after iv seen on an unmarked car myself when i once got pulled (they where looking for same car but wasn't me lol).
they have a multi colour effect. or is it ice white that give the effect?

All lights with projector style headlights give the effect your talking about. If you park your mk2 infront of something white, and turn your lights on, you will see theres a blue outline around the light beam, which then turns yellow and then white. Hid bulbs increase this effect a bit more.

As dave said, dont go fro cheap e-bay kits, they dont last 5 mins.

5000k in a polly lense will do it. anything above will be blue all the time, get you pulled and fail mot, and wont be so bright

ok cheers guys so its 5000k super white im after? i cant find any for punto on that site you posted up dave. as for ebay i was looking at the £70 price mark kits with the 2 year warrenty or is that all bul****? oh is 35w or 50w best? i know 35w is less power usage but are 50w brighter ?

they list for bulb type just select your kit by that, you will have either h1 or h7

thats what i have. in 4300k

if your bulb has a double plug its H7 if its a single plug its H1

I got the HIDs direct in mine at 4300k too and their perfect white .

Don't be disheartened when you first turn them on they'll be a little blue until it heats up!
