Hi - thoughts on the TwinAir Punto?

Hi,

I'm off to look at a twin air later today.

Im not new to punto's, I had a 1.2 8v for 12 years alongside other cars but Im toying with buying this TwinAir to save fuel costs as a cheap and cheerful daily (current daily is a thirsty RS 197 lol)

Any common issues to look out for on the TwinAir?

Hi

10 years and 70k in mine

Observations :
MPG Several of us find @50 mpg is normal 6 speed box helps.. these motor are all Torque 1700/2700 in all gears 70mph is 3000

Exhaust.. just like a Bmw boxer police bike

Oil consumption.. mine is perfect.. run in carefully on the proper oil..

If you buy a needy one.. the expensive oil will be a pain

Cruise.. why I bought mine

Mine is Euro5 / 98 for emissions so nothing spent on VED in 10 years


Im changing front suspension and brakes this year.. all done 70k

Stlightly rarer for parts spec.. but not daft

THINK NO DPF.. but Im not 100% sure


Twinair is Marmite.. I like it.. but can see why some dont.

Where are you based ??

Thanks for the info, much appreciated I have bought the car based North Wales/Cheshire border. I'm 2nd owner, it only has 31k on the clock, FSH a 6 speed box, Euro 5 and the brio pack. 50mpg is dreamy tbh haha I'm collecting it Tuesday
