hi guys and gals
i am wondering if anyone has any plans of the wiring for the airbags on a 52 plate stilo coz we have airbag failure warning we know it is in the passenger seat and found with the diagnostic tools the error is curtain airbag squib value t oo high/intermittent present 52 any help would be brill as need to get it sorted out as hoping to use our car on my driving test and obviously need no warning lights

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

Curtain airbags (if fitted) are along the roof above the door(s) and side windows (like a curtain ), not in the passenger seat.

The electrical connector is item #1 in the diagram below.

Had the same fault 2 years ago, diagnostics will tell you which side has the fault and should also give you instructions on how to prevent the airbag going off when you disconnect it (think it includes disconnecting the battery for 30 mins).
The connector (No 1 in Davrens post) you'll be looking for is behind the rear quarter panel trim - I found it after starting at the front door and following the airbag along the roofline!!!! If the wiring is tight, you may need to move some of the boot trim panels for better access to the connector. Mine was simply a case of disconnecting the airbag, checking the gold connections and then reconnecting it. Nothing obviously wrong with the connector and fault hasnt re-occured.

hi guys thanks a million for that help,my hubby checked it quickly this morning and did something to it and light gone off now so he hoping to reconnect the wires by doing a permanant connection to them this week so hopefully it should fix it coz what ever he has done this morning worked so fingers crossed
