Technical hi am new to site and need advice

hi I have a 2002 elnagh marlin motorhome on a 2.8 diesel fiat ducato chassie. during a recent trip I started up my van after being parked up overnight travelled 500 yards and found fuel pouring out from the bottom of the fuel filtre it didnt last long and i lost about half ltr I cleaned up the area and found the fuel had been coming out a plastic tube next to the electric plug at the bottom of the fuel filtre. ( is this somekind of overflow ? ) have not had any repeat of this problem even after travelling over 300 miles .....was this some kind of blockage that purged its self ? ...any ideas anyone

you mean it came out of the water drain on the filter....maybe just came loose or mnot fitted tightly enough.

I think so yes. on my other car the water drain on the fuel filtre is a plastic tap but on the van there is nothing like this ,just the tube/outlet at the bottom . will have to get a manual and have a good look .

You can download the eLearn ducato workshop manual from the Downloads section (111 MB) & then burn the ISO image to a CD & then install it on your computer.
