General hgt steering wheel

Thought we were talking about the old style 156's didnt know the new ones would fit.

more than once i've gone to buy a 156 and then walked away as soon as i saw the dreaded wood (with that green velour interior :yuck: )

the old style steering wheel wasnt too bad in black. i'd have one but it isnt much better than mine

Yup the dash is nice, and the steering wheel suits the angular dash, but i dont think that shape would look nice in the curvy bravo/etc

well my 156 steering wheel ambitions have been put on hold for the foreseeable future.

i've got me an HGT steering wheel!

thanks to bandido41 for letting me know about it yesterday just hours before it ended.

cost me £32.98 all together, hardly a bargain but i can live with it.

i feel sorry for the seller, he paid £59.90 for it only a few weeks ago and then found the airbag didnt fit his connector.

Just be careful its not worn as most of them are nowadays. Met a lad yesterday with a 2000 HGT and not so many miles on it and he was complaining about getting a new leahter wheel as its worn on the top.

thats what i'm scared of
if its no good it can join the coupe turbo wheel i've got sat in my garage.
then i'll go back to the 156 plan.

just got a hgt leather steering wheel, gearknob and gaitor for £35 including p+p!!supposed to be in good condition..fingers crossed!!!

Would be good if you could get the radio controls etc to work with whichever radio was in the Bravo.

Ive got a Marea steering wheel with working stereo controls on my Brava. It went on no problem, I took the round bit with the contacts on from the Marea too, then just cut the wires that go in the back of the stereo off the loom, attached it to a couple of feet of wire and threaded it through the dash.

thats exactly what i was planning to do if i got the 156 wheel
