HGT re-map? Wimmy?

Hey guys,

Read a while ago Wimmy had a re-map done on his HGT.

Been searching but I can't find how much more power he is getting?

Can anyone help me find out as I'm gonna start doing mine up with a bmc filter and maybe a remap if it is worth it..

Don't think he has had it rolling roaded since. He did say it seems to have lost some of its rough/aggressiveness but feels quicker and smoother now. Smooth acceleration is what I'm looking for too and mine is being done on the 28th of march.

Nige predicts you will get around 15 bhp with a remap and about 10-12 lb/ft torque. He said you should get a bit more with the BMC he can fit as well.

It should improve fuel economy if you drive in a sensible manner - spirited driving (which is why you get the remap) will increase consumption, it will however be more fun!

Unsure on the fuel economy as my driving changes every week and my speedo only works half the time so dont know how many miles I'm getting! £500 for a new set of clocks at fiat - I dont think so

why would anyone in their rightmind give angel tuning a call and give them 200+£'s for a so called tune that gives an unproven 10bhp. for all we know they may just even out the revs to make it feel different. i would rather pay the extra 100quid and watch dastek do it and give you a rolling road printout before and after!

Err they do offer to book a RR session nearby so you can see the gains and offer a full refund if you decide you want it set back to the original map.

They're really only worth considering if you've done quite a bit of engine modding.

btw, I'm yet to hear of anyone who's been disappointed with Angel - I know I'm a happy chappy with mine (on diesel though)

Thewy do offer RR sessions so you can see the difference. There was none close by to me so it was chosen (by me) not to be done. As Oz also pointed out - hey offer a full refund if you are not happy with results!

i thought the best tunning companys used RR and emissions etc? suppose thats for tunin carbs and highly modded engines
