Technical Hgt Oil leak

I have a 97 hgt and was tinkering today just checkin it over took the plug from cylinder 1 and it had oil on it, checked all the others and they are fine nothin wrong with them at all, I have been told it max be rocker cover gasket and cylinder seals, does this sound correct to anyone or could it be somethin else cheers guys

mine hgt did the same. changed both the rocker cover and cylinder seals and its fine now.nothing to worry

do i need to use the red gasket sealant when i fit the new gasket ???

hi mate,
I used so little sealer on the cover maybe you can use a soft glue (applied it to the cover duct in order to prevent sliding of seal gasket when turn it down and fitted to its place) When tightening the cover be careful otherwise you can break the cover as I did follow the correct tightening method

what is the correct order and method for putting the rocker cover back on

by the correct method I mean apply the correct torque settings to all 12 bolts. when tightening never go till end for one of the bolts. tighten a little one of them and pass another then another and turn over between bolts. finally you will end up with a healty rocker cover

is there a correct order to the tightening the bolts or just do the middle first
