HGT - How Much??

I have been looking at the value of my 155 HGT and been comparing it to others on Autotrader and the like. There seems to be a wide range of prices between £5,500 and £6,995!

Well - how much do YOU lot think I should put it up for sale for? I know its only worth what someone will pay for it but I cant seem to find a reasonable guide. Parkers reckon £6,500 and £5560 on trade in!

2000 X Reg
48,000 miles
FFSH
Cambelts and 24,000 service carried out last week
Loads of receipts
2 Owners - the first being Fiat who put 2.5 miles on it
Maintained regardless of cost
EBC Trubo Groove disks and pads are the only "mod" except for a few nice Abarth badges
Good tyres
May leave the CD changer in it
Mot not required until November
Taxed until end of Sep I think (Its raining - I aint going to check!)
Everything works - you wouldnt expect anything else now would you!
Driven fast but not abused - just how Italian cars should be.
All HGT usuals, air con etc - no sunroof and thank god no leather!

Dont panic yet, or cheer, I am not leaving the forum, the Bravo-Guide or BOO - I look after too many of them for other people, but my circumstances have changed somewhat!

it might sell better if it comes 2 fo rthe price of one, one for the misus to go to the hairdressers in! lol

Re: Re: HGT - How Much??

no, seriously, car prices seem very unstable at the moment. if i were you i would try find something similar on autotrader and price it similar to that!

I saw a yellow one near me for sale at a garage for £5995. it was a mk2 but thats all i know about it!

eddie wrights. try www.eddiewrights.co.uk might still have it

How much

I reckon as the cambelts been done you could go on the higher side. I saw a T plate mk2 yellow HGT for sale at a local garage for £5995 with 60k on the clock and hadnt had a cambelt change. It was gone within 2 weeks.

That was up about 3 months ago.

Re: How much

Nige - Im selling mine too and im in the same boat of working out price - Mines a Mk2 HGT 1999 T plate. As the last post said im seeing 60K cars going for bout £5000.

Mines going up for sale at £5000 cos i also got alloys, tints lowred etc.

:)

Re: Re: Re: How much

Stink - The Fiat dealers say 75K but most people do it between 45k - 60k

Mr Al.

Re: Re: Re: Re: How much

The official Fiat recommendation is 72,000 miles or 5 years. However AutoData are now saying every 36,000 miles!

I did mine at 48,000 as a matter of course and would receommend you do the same. OK on a HGT it is exepensive but on everything else it isnt!

come on nige, yes i read the first line but do you honestly expect me to have remembered the first line by the time i read the rest of it?

HGT for sale then

LOL, Alan!

Right the bugger is up for sale to a BOO member for £5,900, a forum geezer for £5995 and I will put it on autotrader next week for £6,100.

I am in no rush to sell, so if you aint going to offer the money then I cant be bothered. Theres nothing hidden, everyone knows the history of this car through the forum and a number of you have met me.

The reason I am selling is because I need a fast car again to keep me amused - nothing else except I ahven't got a job that requires me to have a 4 door saloon under 4 years old - ok it wasnt a 4 door anyway but the under 4 years bit takes a couple of shackles off.

I am either going for a 200SX Turbo or a 20v Coupe for those who are going to ask.

Re: HGT for sale then

Not interested in a 2.8 V6 Turbo Sierra? It's a genuine 4x4! :)

Re: Re: HGT for sale then

Ian, with all due respect, if I start eating baked hedgehogs, keeping numerous "dags", get a yearning to own a twin axle caravan and resurface drives then I will let you know!

Good Deal?

I just bought a '99 T-reg Phase 2 HGT 155 47k for £4295, the only draw back is its white (not a mark on the bodywork), but as above no leather (thank god), it was owned by a diabled woman (funny choice for a car), so i think it hasnt been hammered, and before that owned by Fiat. It runs really well, but i need to get the cambelt changed.

Oh i have already got it on 17's

Was this a good deal?

Re: Good Deal?

Jesus! Is that all they are worth now! My T reg 155 cost £5500 last august with 33k on the clock and now has 43K. I guess yours being white would make it a bit cheaper but bloody hell.

Shabash!
