i have the p75 ecu to go on once i have the rest of the bits

Cheers MArk will do. As for the head, defo have it skim for him if you can :) .

Abyss, you need to rewire the D4 to use the P75 ecu ........... is not just plug and play. People like Steve, James both achieved 85 BHP + on the SPI P60 engine.

i know you have to rewire the ecu never said it was plug and play and if you can achieve 95 on the spi 60 engine then in theory it should be able to go to 100hp on the 75 engine :)

and mark got my self a new flask for the journey up as this road trip i dont really expect to stop in a tescos again and have some random guy try to jump in the boot :D

that theorie is flaud. one of the MAIN ways of getting up to 85bhp on the puinto 60 engine is by using 75 cams and larger inletts/tb's the exct same as the 75 engine. basicly they will both be tunable to identical amounts. their the same engine just the 75 has a larger inlett and higher cam. swap them to the 60 and you have 75bhp.. thats the main mod. 60-75 only difference in modding is 75 engines have oil squirters on the pistons. other than that it wont make a difference where you start.

look trying to get this back on about the HGF failure if you have any issues with what engine i use in my sei come and buy it off me then you can do what you want with it

Final off topic point, mpi offers one big advantage. The ability to later go 16v with relative ease compared to doing the job all at once.

Anyway, once again, lets keep this on topic please :)

This has been fun to read lol

We still good for tomorrow then? You guys decided if you fancy a breakfast in Aberdeen or just straight to Macduff? We will be leaving here around 10-10.30 so we will be there just before you guys get there at mid day (if we don't meet you in Aberdeen)

yup, see you tomorrow :) got everything packed in the boot this afternoon

we'll just get food before we go and head straight up i think

As per earlier this week, kettles on if you do decide to stop on the road up.

Im not sure what my plans tomorrow are. Definately working in the evening, meant to be going out during the daytime but aint heard back yet!

well we shall give a bell on the way up and let you know if we will maybe pop in for a cuppa and a biscuit :D

They should be getting home soon, we got it all done, with a few little problems here and there, but its done :D

So biggggggggggg thanks to Mark and Darren!!

Didn't leave Macduff till just after 10, so they will be getting home soon. No pics I am afraid as I am sure everyone will tell you it was FREEZING!!

Head gasket changed, no damage to head at all so original head put back on, sump changed, new timing kit put on (turns out the timing was out 180 degrees!) fluids filled up, slight teething problem with the cooling system but after a long . . . long bleeding process it is finally all good :D so thanks again Mark and Darren!

morning all :D

yup was a bit of a bugger to do with the mount having to come of on the timing belt side and then removing flywheels covers to get thte old sump of but was all fun :D

just after midnight we got back so was a bit later than anticapted :D could have used my grinder for duff rusty bolts on the manifold :D but eventualy got them and the sump draining techniques was fun thankfully new sump was correct size :) but yeah was running like a new car again

just have to make sure that there is no air in the cooling system so just open the bleed valve every now and then
