Haven't really done much at the moment, just window tint on all back windows and taken the 'Punto' off of the back.

Quick thing, My passenger door is very sticky and hard to open, nothing to do with the mechanics of the door, and the handle, its just hard to pull open, its kind of like vacumed to the car, Its really annoying, any ideas would be much appreciated! :worship:

Cheers Guys!

Hi and WELCOME TO THE FORUM

Nice looking punto you have there (y)

The door sticking is a fairly common problem. Its fairly easy to solve by adjusting the position of the door catch on the B pillar. It has 2 torx bolts holding it on. If you slacken them off slightly, you can either adjust the catch up or down, depending on where your doors catching.

If the door has dropped a great deal, then you may have worn door hinges, and wont necessarily be able to fix it by adjusting the door catch.

Thankyou!

Yeah I've got a lot of work on this at the moment, so will have to look at my door next week, but thanks this may help!

Hi, and welcome,

nice car..!! (y)

sticky / tight hinges are certainly a possibility, ;)
another thing is the rubber seals attaching themselves to the metal of the door frame :bang:

a light misting of wd 40 could help BOTH :)

But yeah, I think its more the rubber on the door when its shut, as once it is away from the car it is fine and moves freely, its just getting that first opening and getting the door away from the car!
I've put a small amount WD40 on before and it helped, but not that much and not for very long :(

If you can find it (try eBay), then Gummi Pflege is your answer. It’s like a shoe-shine stick, or Pritt stick, and you coat the rubber with it. Someone on here recommended it -- Super Uwe or deeyup, I think -- and it works really well. Also protects the rubber from frost. (y)

i use pledge:D

Why doesn't that surprise me? :p

Does it work, though...? :)
Spratt -- you can find Gummi Pflege here, by the way. (Been using the same stick on three, now four, cars, for two years: and there's still some left....) (y)
