OK I quite like the wheels on this one :D
I only really like cars that are small, light and fun, so otherwise it's of no interest to me.
A pity that small light cars are seemingly a thing of the past.
I feel there's a huge gap between quadricycles like the Ami/Topolino (aimed at purely urban use) and 1500kg compact SUVs like this.

It's deeply unlikely this will weigh 1500kg with a combustion engine.

Similar kerbweight to the current Panda 4x4 with the manual gearbox and straight petrol up to just under 1500 with an electric motor and battery. We've got current C3 with this engine and it's 1060-75kg.

Given other news as well...this will likely be outlived by the current Panda. If we take a normal car life cycle i.e. in production 6 years with a midlife Refresh it'll be around to about 2030...they've just committed to building the old Panda/Pandina until at least 2030 (one assumes only for Italy..but you never know).

You're always going to have a kerbweight difference between the quadracycle and a car...if you look at say the new microlino it's built much better than an Ami and can do 50+ and you'd think great a half way house. It costs the same as buying an actual car though...and more than the combustion Panda or C3 will be.

This grey one could be the Uno version...

It's either that or slightly off Photoshop that's got some details wrong.

The lack of Panda on the doors would make sense if it's not a Panda. Also the headlamps look to be halogen and don't think Stellantis sells anything in Europe with halogen lights except possibly the old Panda although not sure if Pandina has joined the present day.

Big or tall? At less than 4m the only smaller cars on sale will be the Pandina and possibly the Dacia spring.

Another one of the Stellantis cars that look big in isolation and then you see them next to Golf and realise all the impression size is in the ride height and high bonnet line.

Nevermind the Duster it's smaller than a Sandero also the Jeep Avenger in the modern is also a small car the same size as a Sandero..but this shorter than both.

I hate to admit it, but that red one with the old white steel wheel look, alongside the original box Panda, is growing on me. I think some of what @StevenRB45 has said about how much recent Fiat models were somewhat non-FCA influenced is resonating into being a bit less critical of this model
Mmmm Your going off! Lol

Think of it more as a baby Hummer then.....LOL

I just seen an Alfa variant of one of the popular Peugeot (600e?) platforms there... but worse than that... an ALFA VAN... what the ****? Now I know, we've debated whether or not Fiat is dead, or whether this is just more of the same of recent decades in regards to sharing things with other big car makers like the Peugeot vans and the GM Punto stuff... but a Van in the Alfa Romeo lineup? That is surely as un-holy, and against the Italian spirit of everyone to do with the origins of Alfa Romeo, as the 'all electric' Abarth is against the original spirit of Carlos Abarth (although at least they're likely to fix that blunder now with more engines!)

The grill of the new Panda concepts do look very Vauxhall-esque, hopefully they can shake that. I mean looking at some of the very popular Korean stuff, they blatantly stole elements from nearly every mainstream Western brand shamelessly, and people bought it. Now, the CCP crap [much worse] is blatantly copying entire side profiles... entire light clusters and entire front ends from other brands and people are still buying them. So as much as any similarity with that 'Grandland' front makes me sick in my mouth, I'm sure the new Panda will not be phased in the marketplace by it.

One thing I'll say from my week or so with that is... that very flat, very smooth glossy 'visor' front is prime real estate for a bug and insect graveyard, but where any conventional bumper design of modern cars is difficult to clean without a little paintbrush, strong cleaner, and sore knees and ankles from bending down to properly clean it... those hide the real nastiness of the vaporised bugs well. The big shiny flat surface.. not only gets the same coverage, but it looks - much much much - worse and obvious and with a raised up, in your face crossover style, you'd see the black specs, the yellow tinges and the red tinges and mutilation right in your face.

Looking back at the Centoventi, this back end / C pillar 'squared off' original 1980s Panda like shape seems to be something even a fully FCA Panda successor was going to adopt - ditching the quirky back of the 2003 and 2011 models that is sadly missing. So I suppose I can quit blaming Peugeot on that one...

Official launch today, and my verdict is I like the new panda, I like it more than the old panda, looks good on the outside, very modern design but with all the necessary nods to the original, oh and fiat consider this the mk4 or 4th generation the first 80s panda being one generation not two.

The interior is nice and modern without being a sea of plastic, a massive improvement from previous fiats.
I think this of going to do well for fiat

They also announced the fiat 500 Armani edition 12 years after the Gucci and they teased the new bigger suv the replacement I suspect for the 500x which will be based on the replacement for the Citroen C4 and looks a lot like the olio concept but with a sloped screen

So lots of interesting stuff coming from fiat, also it is currently stellantis, biggest selling brand so fiat isn’t going anywhere soon
