I am new to this forum, and of course I need help. I have a 74 Fiat X1/9.
I have actually had it for about ten years. Most of the time it was in a barn with some seriously bent valves due to a bad timing belt, but that is another story. I replaced the valves surfaced the head etc. It runs now but seems to not have as much power as it did. I've checked the timing but it is just slow. Maybe it has always been that way and I just don't remember it. It has been a long time since I drove it last. What i am getting at is does anybody have any ideas? Do I need to re-shim the new valves?!!???? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sticke
