I'm in need of help. My 1.9 2007 16v multi jet has developed a strange problem. When setting of it seems to be starved of fuel (not long had a major service) and struggles to get going, but when I reach 2500 - 3000 revs it shoots of and is ok until I stop at a junction and the same happens again. Although intermittent, it does do it more often than not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I'm guessing it's a diesel..
Personal experience says it's the EGR valve.. take the sucker out and give it a good clean.. your problem will then be solved. ;-)

Agreed. Had symptoms like that on the Multipla. If cleaning the EGR doesn't sort it, check the MAF.

I took the EGR of and it was full of black carbon. I cleaned it all with carb cleaner. I then took the black part of the egr which houses the plunger and solenoid. This was also covered in black carbon. Cleaned this checked the plunger had free movement , it did, so put it all together and took it for a spin. Still same problem, car struggling to get power until 2,500 revs. Heart sank, cleaned MAF, still same ?. Quick look on Google and followed this link : How-to Fix the EGR on a 1.9JTD.pdf Took it apart again and the small solenoid was stuck and not free moving. As the egr ion the bravo is common to vauxhall, called a local vauxhall breaker, he had one in stock, £20 and 1/2 later had the new one on and hey presto, problem solved. The link explains it perfectly
