Punto (Mk2/2b) Help

Hi people. I have a problem with my revs. When my car warms up after about 20 minutes my clutch starts to slip. It's mainly in 3rd and 4th gears. The revs go up really high with no power so it's a nightmare pulling away at a junction when it's happens from a stationery position. Am I looking at a new clutch or could it be oil on the clutch plate as someone on here said? Thanks

Hi, and welcome to FF,
eitherwill need the clutch plate removing ( gearbox off) for inspection.

depending on what vehicle, and engine,

anything from @ £200 to £1000 job

assuming its the 1.2 8 or 16v
its fairly similar for both of them - your looking for around 200 as it sound like a classic failing clutch

Get a decent clutch fitted not a white box / reconditioned clutch - as these will fail very quickly
