Ive just bought a fiat bravo 2.0 20v, its eating petrol, ive put on a new down and tail pipe and at 70mph the revs are running just under 3500, is this right?

Hi this does sound right...
I have the HGT 155 and they are not economical on fuel.
But you dont by a 2.0 20v to get get the most MPG its for the 155BHP and the top end of 136MPH.

70mph is around 3.5k in 5th so yer sounds right.
Karl the hgt's can reach 140,wouldnt believe the book stats sometimes.My stats say 130 top end,i got 135 out of it (on a private road).
A gps may have said 140 as theyre spot on.
but im not puttin pedal to the floor this time round ha

id put the pedal down except the cambelt change would cost best part of 1200 at fiats an god knows when mine was last done hahaa so **** it put ur foot down n see

mine went bang last time lol so yer im looking after it this time round.Its had full service when i put in a replacement engine 
theyre not the best of fuel either.I managed 60 miles to £10 last wee.Can average 50 to £10,so yer not the best.

i done just under 300 miles on a full tank im starting to wish i was loaded lol

yer they can be pretty thirsty,but if you drive it softly keepin revs down you should be fine

I went to Neil Smith, was a good 90 miles to him but was worth it, got courtsey car for 3 hours and they tuned her up slightly
