alright all, well today I took the car to the local garage to get the wheels balanced only costing 15quid. whilst in the waiting room they came in to get me to tell me that one of my good tyres was completely miss shaped so I had to fork out an extra £70 for a new tyre. Then they call me in again to tell me that one of my alloys has buckled now this is a problem, does anyone know if this sort of thing can be sorted ie: refurb or am I looking at a new alloy?

cheers all any advise much appreciated Danny

If its buckled then bin it. A refurb just takes care of scratches and old paintwork, not a bent wheel.

Straightening an alloy can cause cracking which could lead to wheel failure.

They didn't suck air through their teeth while telling you this did they? Also, did they bounce up and down on the wing and go - here mate, did you know your shockers were past it, very dangerous that mate......
