Help!!!!

My Laptop isn't working, and I have been told that it is because the graphics card may have come unplugged.

Being the dick that I am, I decided to open it up... without any instructions as to what I'm looking for, trying to do etc...:bang::bang::bang:

If someone could find the location of the graphics card in an IBM Thinkpad R40 and either describe it (good), or take a photo of it (even better) so as to give me an idea as to what I am trying to do.

If you ever want to see this laptop work again....

I doubt the video card would have gotten unplugged though...

I had a look at the service manual, but I couldn't find anything that helped me, but that is probably because I lack the required skills to be doing what I am doing

What exactly is the problem you are having with the laptop, before you try ripping it all apart? We might be able to diagnose and fix it without you taking the laptop apart.

You don't lack "teh sk177s!", its easy.

Flick through the manual until you find the bit about taking the laptop apart, and then do what it says. then find the bit that speaks of the graphics card and have a read.
