got my new headgasket set today but wot are these little round things are they locating dowls(sorry about pics)

Yup, valve stem oil seals. Remember to change them.

Getting the old ones out was a pig and IIRC I used an 11mm socket to push the new ones on

I just used my thumbs to refit, i had 16 to do, and after, i had blood in my gloves fingers that had been forced though the skin lol, hurt a lot for a few days...so maybe to socket idea is a good one
