just got four standard alloys and had to get 4 tyres with legal tread, 3 are the same but one of them has huge triangular delves for the pattern

will this be safe? also does it have to go on a particular way round?

any help much appreciated

Get the uniform tyres on the front.

The sooner you get 4 decent sts of rubber, the better as you cannot take risks with safety on the road.

I have always preferred Pirelli P6000's and despised Toyo's.

P6000's aren't bad but Continentals of about the same price are leagues ahead for grip (that's what i found anyway)

I'll have to see what Toyo Poxies are like, got some alloys with a set of them on and want to see how she rides on 16"s before getting better tyres.

Can't be any worse than a set of Yoko A539s run down to the wear indicators ;)

The way the weather's gone I wouldn't rule out snow Tom. Get 'em on quick if I were you. ;)

yes those tyres (and all others) need to be a certain way round.
Picture the bit of the tyre in contact with the road with the middle of the v on the ground, to guide water out from under the tyres it needs to roll across the rest of the v. Same holds true for all (rain suitable)tyres, the lines should guide the water to the edge as it rolls

hope that makes sense

You could always look at the direction indicators that are on all tyres and show you which way round they should go on.

Just a thought. ;)
