Apologies for this as I know there's already a large number of threads on it but I was wondering if anyone oould help me getting the radio code for my Visteon Head Unit.

Codes for Radio
I've just bought a stilo and i realize it didn't come with a Code Card Which i assume would contain the code for the mp3 player.
Is there any way to request this code form Fiat?
Is there any way to get the code without the card in case i need it in the future?

I've found some people who have asked for the code and others have replied. There was also a link to a website which you can download a utility called FIAT_serial_number which is wirtten in Czech. Is that what i should use?

Is this by any chance a code that would be on the CODE card the the manual speaks about. As i understand there is a Electronic code and a Mechanical code. I don't have this card, is there any way to request it from fiat? When would i need it?

the code card you're speaking of contains the code for the body computer (for emergency start procedure) and the mechanical code for key cutting - needs to be ordered at your dealer.
The code for the radio is another one and can be generated with the mentioned software.

for radio code u can go to ur dealer they can request it (take log book) most if not all dealers will charge u for this tho, if u have no joy getting it let me know and il get ya to email me all ya details and il get it off ISR monday for ya

Stilo 10/2001.
Seller did not provided me with radio code. Radio/CD is working OK, but I was thinking what in case I disconnect battery. Do I need to enter code again? I have little book, something radio/cd instructions but no code on pages. I've looked all manuals I got with car and nothing.
Was looking few threads on this forum regarding this matter and found that you can generate code using serial number. How can I get serial number of my unit. Do I have do take it out and read s/n or there is other way?

Yes you need to take it out to get the serial number. It will be on a label or stamped into the side of the radio.
If it's a Visteon, the number will be a letter M followed by 6 digits.
If Blaupunkt, BP followed by 12 digits. The 5th will be a letter if it was made before 2003.
Best to get all the numbers from it while you have it out.
