Hi everyone.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find what I was looking for.

I have changed the clocks on my MK1 55 for a set with a temp gauge and rev counter. I have managed to get the rev counter to work and will sort out the temp gauge when I get a new sensor.

But... I have an unusual problem.

All the lights on the dash are working fine, apart from the Charge & Oil lights. I have changed the bulbs from the original dash (where they were definitely working) and still nothing.

What wires need switching over or what am I doing wrong

Thanks in advance.

I take it you mean these lights arnt iluminating when you turn the ignition on?
If so you may have brought a faulty clockset. or the only other thing I can think of is a bad connection. Try removing and refitting the connectors again.

Yea, they wont light up at all when i turn the key.
I dont think its faulty. Doesn't seem to be anything that can go wrong. All the tracks seem to be intact Tested for continuity (sp) and all seems to be ok.

Can you check for voltage at the lights and work you way back?

Connect you meter to earth and put live on one of the bulb connector, switch on ignition and you should get around 12v for a few seconds then 0v. If you dont get the 12v try the same but on the other side of the bulb connector.
