Technical Help with cigarette lighter -

Cigarette lighter not working Hi everyone, im new to the forum, well registering anyway. I ve had my croma 2 years and i love it!! ok here is my problem.

My alternator went, had it replaced and since then my cigarette lighter doesnt work. Ive checked all the fuses..

Can some one please help me......

Does the 'back lighting' work when the lights are on? this should verify if the lead is still connected at the back of the unit as the feed, light feed & common earth are all on the same plug.

Is it the cigarette lighter that does not work or have you tried an accessory in the lighter (eg Tom tom) & if so does the accessory work? if so then its the actual lighter that's failed.

I think I'm right in saying there are at least two different sizes of fag lighter socket, and the Croma one is the wider size. My sat nav fitted nicely in my previous car, but in the Croma it's loose and sloppy and often disconnects. The rear one is the smaller size though.

Just adding this, in case you're thinking it's dead because something plugged in isn't working.
