Technical Help! wipers going off randomly!

In the bizarrest of incidents...

Just driving the car this morning after the snow we had, all the wipers started going off randomly whilst driving. Also the horn went off whilst the ignition was turned off! (Note:this has happenned a 2nd time now and is getting rather annoying for my neighbours!)

How might this have been caused...? I found a small puddle by the drivers side this morning and when i opened the bonnet I found a grommit missing just above where the fuse box should be. I have removed the fuses for the horn and wipers. When I went down near the fuse box I heard a strange ticking noise, and this has sometimes come on intermittantly today. Could it be caused by a water leak? I am mythed so any ideas would be welcome.

You are in the right area, the fuse boards in the tipo are known to suffer from water leaking into them. You could take it out, dry it and put it back. On mine the warter had corroded circuits and had to be replaced
