Technical Help where should this go?

Hello all, i have just purchased an 02 Multipla 1.9 110 xs jtd, and have spent the last week trying to find a workshop manual, only to discover there is not one! i have got myself a workshop cd but cannot find the answer to my question, so i have found this forum and hope you can help?
I have a engine part that is not attached but should be and cannot find where it should go, so can you please look at the picture and tell me what i am doing wrong, it looks to me that it is part of the breathing system but it also has a wire connection and a small red hose attached to it, my air filter also does not seam to be attached to anything is this correct or am i bolts or connectors missing.

Hope i got it right this time, the part in question is being held to a water pipe by a blue cable tie, i am new to using forums so hope you are still out there.

Not sure which bit you mean but if its of any help the part in middle of picture (black top with white bottom section) looks like the overboost valve, this will have a blue or red pipe running to the wastegate.

Yep, that the bit in the middle, black top white bottom with red pipe, it looks like it should be held to somthing by two bolts poss 10m but i cannot find where to attach it.

Sorry if i have allready sumitted this.
