Think I already know the answer here: Is it advisable to tow a front wheel drive car over a distance of 40+ miles? (Obviously, the best way would be with a trailer or dolly) Could this be done with a bar? Would the driveshafts need to be removed? Once towed a 2CV from Leamington to Leicester on an A-frame but remember the engine going BANG! along the way  Don't want a repeat performance

If it is a manual gearbox car then it should be fine (tow the car with the gearbox in neutral obviously!) If it's an auto then most probably no. Old style hydraulic autos can wreck their torque converters if towed even when in neutral. Not sure about modern CVT types but would suspect the same?
