Can anyone help me ive recently purchased a seicento after 2days my clutch cable went ( i think) anyway been advised to obtain a haynes manual for guidelines on replacing it but cannot find one relating to this model.
Ive came across a cinq manual for upto a r reg and wonderd would this be of any help? all help would be very gratefull

welcome to the forum. the cinq and sei are very simler with the clutch cable and other parts, my clutch cable went not too long ago, how heavy is your clutch? its a bit of a common problem on these, if the cables gone, and your clutch is heavy its time to chage the clutch, i didn't the first time my cable went, but 2 weeks later when i snapped the pivot point (why make it out of plastic:bang:) i took the hint and got the clutch and pivot changed. these little cars are pure Italian, with the most stupid cable routing on any car, if your handy with the spanners its not a hard job but my local guarage had to take half the dash off, strange thing is when i tried first, that bit was really well glued down:chin: hope ya get it sorted mate.

Thanks benjammo itwasnt bad mind its first time ive had a fiat ive obtain a new clutch cable hopeing thats wot it is im trying to find out the easiest way of changing it by the comments ive read on the forum it isnt a big job i am an engineer (boats) this wont be a problem to me just need the low down on stripping it down as its the first job on a car ive done i have been told u need not strip out dash board ? ive also been told a haynes manual would be a help but which one do i get as they havent made one for the seicento 1108 model m8 if its any consolalation its a 02 model

i'll be supriesed if there isnt a step by step guide on here somewhere, if you pm a lad called sei_rory he was offering a copy of his workshop manual on cd, i'll guess he'd send it via msn ect but i couldnt really say. you only have to remove the poitless little tray from the passinger's side, the peddles joined to the cable via a rod to a stupid little plastic pivot there, its just a case of unhucking it and threading the new one through. my little tray thing was really well glued in place, i did get it most of the way off, but ran out of time before work and had to just tow it to a local garage. mines a 51 sporting so yours should be the same.

Use a cinq manual, as said there isnt a sei one.

Not a hard job just need to be flexible
