HELP REQUIRED! Follow up to Aircon pipe disaster

As you well know i had a minor disaster with my air conditioning pipes in the way that i drilled through them.

However they are now all fixed, sorted and working, BUT! When i've got the AirCon on whilst the car is idoling, the aircon pump and fan continues to cut in and out constantly every minute. (As in on for a minute, then cuts out for a minute etc etc) Also, as i come to a stand still from moving, so long as i'm still for more than 5 seconds, the fan cuts in.

Not quite sure if this is what should be happening as i've not had aircon previous to this?

Advise would be great!!

Sorry Ollie I don't know.
I was gutted when I found out the mk1 HGTs didn't come with AC as standard, but by that time i'd already fallen in love with the 5 cylinder growl I just had to have one!
I'd say that does sound weird though, the fan shouldn't keep cutting on and off so frequently.

Probably due to insufficent a/cond gas, so top-up the gas.

Do u know if it's this for certain, only it's been regassed after the new pipes were fitted.

Therefore as far as i'm concerened it's full.

Have you got air con yourself?
