Hello

Have seen a 16V 1996 coupe but has no Red key, is this a big issue?

Thanks
Steve

What does this mean and how would I get around this. When would I need it?

Thanks

you would have to send the ecu away and get the immobiliser took off the chip.

edit: you dont need the red key to get more keys cut, blues can be cloned for about £25

I don't have a red key with mine, never needed it and i've had the battery out for days on end. It's no big issue, in fact it's a bonus as you tell the seller it's quite serious and demand a fair whack off the asking price ;)

I agree with Matt. I have spoken to a Coupe specialist who has worked on hundreds of Coupes, and said he has never needed the red key. So I wouldn't worry about it. However, use it as a bargaining tool...

Who can do this cloneing of a blue key, as my local FIAT dealer says the red is needed?

Could the red key be cloned, as I have a red key that is not the original, and no blue?

Cheers

that red key is a clone of a blue its already a blue even though its red. dont worry about not having a red chances of you needing it are 9999 to 1
